Los Pilares de La Tierra

Los pilares de la Tierra es una novela histórica del autor británico Ken Follett ambientada en Inglaterra en la Edad Media, en concreto en el siglo XII, durante un periodo de guerra civil conocido como la Anarquía inglesa, entre el hundimiento del White Ship y el asesinato del arzobispo Thomas Becket. Sin embargo, también se recrea un viaje de peregrinación a Santiago de Compostela a través de Francia y España.

La novela describe el desarrollo de la arquitectura gótica a partir de su precursora, la arquitectura románica y las vicisitudes del priorato de Kingsbridge en contraste con el telón de fondo de acontecimientos históricos que se estaban produciendo en ese momento. A pesar de que Kingsbridge es el nombre de una localidad inglesa real, el Kingsbridge al que se hace referencia en la novela es, en realidad, un emplazamiento ficticio representativo del típico pueblo inglés en el que se establecían mercados en la época.

El autor sorprendió con esta novela no sólo a sus lectores, ávidos de thrillers, sino también a sus editores con su contenido y longitud (más de 1300 páginas). Fue publicada en 1989, y se convirtió en el mayor best seller de Follett.

La novela fue incluida en el puesto 33 de la encuesta realizada por la BBC en 2003, cuyo objetivo era encontrar las obras más apreciadas de la literatura británica. Además, fue elegida en 2007 por el club literario Oprah's Book Club.

La segunda parte, Un mundo sin fin, salió a la venta en español el 28 de diciembre de 2007.

Discografia Imperio y renacer

Imperio se separó en la mitad del 2001, debido a diferencias musicales. El cantante Bertoncelli quería menos teclados y más poder, como en los inicios de la banda. Esto se ve reflejado en los discos de Renacer.

Bertoncelli y el guitarrista Gustavo Gorosito fueron los ex-integrantes de Imperio que formaron originalmente Renacer. Pero Gorosito dejo el proyecto en seguida y Juan Pablo Kilberg tomó el puesto. Jorge Perini, que anteriormente había estado en Imperio y en Jeriko, se hizo cargo de la batería.

Hacia fines de 2001 lanzaron un EP denominado Hoy como Ayer que contiene cuatro temas originales de la banda con un estilo de Power Metal melódico aún bastante cercano al de Imperio, y el cover de Rata Blanca Chico Callejero.

El disco del 2002 tiene mucha más fuerza y poder, con temas como "Entre la gloria y la traición" o "Mi refugio".

En 2003 lanzan un EP de 3 temas en el que se destaca "Alas de fuego".

Hacia 2005 sale el segundo LP de la banda "Senderos del alma" con temas como "Nueva sangre", "Estrella negra" o "Un nuevo sol".

En 2007 sale a la venta el disco "En Versiones" donde relizan covers de temas de bandas como: Héroes del Silencio, Ronnie James Dio, Helloween, Judas Priest, Ska-P, La Renga, Barón Rojo, AC/DC, Megadeth, y donde colabora cantando un tema José Andrëa, cantante de la banda española Mägo de Oz. El mismo año editan en forma independiente su sexto disco (EP) llamado "VI" con 6 temas y un track interactivo con tres videos de los temas de realizado en el show tributo a Riff en 2006, "Mal romance", "La espada sagrada" y "Desconfio". En 2009 ya con la salida del baterista Diego Lara y el ingreso de Damian Oliva, la banda firma con el sello Icarus y editan "Hijo del viento", un disco con mucha fuerza y melodía, con temas como "Lenguas de serpiente", "Vida a los sueños, sangre al corazón" y "Valle de la muerte" que se destacan, además del track que le da nombre al cd.

Origen 2010

Ambientada en el mítico mundo de los rudos vikingos y los dragones salvajes, y basada en el libro infantil de Cressida Cowell, esta comedia de acción narra la historia de Hipo, un vikingo adolescente que no encaja exactamente en la antiquísima reputación de su tribu como cazadores de dragones. El mundo de Hipo se trastoca al encontrar a un dragón que le desafía a él y a sus compañeros vikingos, a ver el mundo desde un punto de vista totalmente diferente.

Sons of Anarchy", el drama que se centra en el universo del motociclismo producido por Kurt Sutter, uno de los productores ejecutivos de The Shield.
Titulada al principio Forever Sam Crow, la serie está centrada sobre un club de motoristas de la policía llamado "Sons of Anarchy" que trata mal que bien de proteger la ciudad pequeña ficticia de Charming (California) de los traficantes de drogas y de las empresas de construcción.
